
I took part in my first game jam, where I worked with a pretty experienced game dev. It was such a great experience to work with him and collaborate on something weird, and it contributed a greal deal to me deciding to make games later.
The theme was Pampering. We came up with a weird concept about someone having to pamper a monster to keep them happy. He programmed the game in Unity while I created the art assets. We managed to rush to the finish line and get a complete game loop functioning by the end of the 8 hour jam! Which is ridiculous looking back at it. I don’t know how we did it.
I loved the game so much, and I was so inspired by watching someone code all of what we did in only a few hours, that I decided to try recreate the game myself.
