This was a quick evening exploration into recreating a mini game from Cult of the Lamb, which is based off of a far more ancient game called Knuckle Bones. Though tradtionally played with actual bones, the modern version uses dice, and my version… was going to involve butts.
I am yet to implement the next part of the experiment, which is to paint on the 3d dice shapes in Procreate to decorate (them with butts). This is a feature in Procreate I’ve only tinkered with and never properly used, so I thought it was a great time as the dice in game are 3D.
The stretch goal is to edit them in blender and resculpt the dice to be butt shaped somehow (and not have it effect dice rolls?)

Quick Rules#
- Two players, each with their own 3x3 grid.
- Players take turns rolling a single die (1–6) and placing it into any column on their own grid.
- A column holds up to 3 dice, stacked from the bottom up.
- Matching dice multiply: placing a die that matches one already in that column (on your own board) combines their value — two 4s score 8, three 4s score 12.
- Opponent knockout: placing a die that matches a value in the same column on your opponent’s grid destroys their matching die(s) in that column.
- The game ends when one player fills their entire 3x3 grid.
- Whoever has the higher total score wins.
